Lessons! (for those under me)

Hello! A quick update for those who had lessons under me.

First, i've to apologize for the zonked out state that i was in that day. Quite a lot went wrong that day so had to go settle. paiseh! wont happen next week alr.

Ok anyway, i've decided to post on the blog (i know i'm kinda abusing it >< ) things that you're suppose to do by the next lesson in case i wasn't clear.

1. LOOK at ur right hand
2. After looking at ur right hand, LOOK at ur left hand

ok den start practising x)

3. Familiarize all ur open strings, (EADGBE) and their respective representation on the treble clef (i.e. make sure u can sight read after that)
4. Finish on andante on the first string (first 2 lines of the piece) - aka know all the notes there too and respective position on the guitar and memorize



So basically, these are the things u all shd noe by now.

1) All your theory component
- Crotchet, Minim, Quavers etc
- Rests
- Clefs
- Time Signature
- Key Signature

2) Notes and where to play them on the guitar
- Open Strings - E A D G B E
- F and G from andante on the first string


3) Right and Left hand
- How ur right hand shd be (double triangles and all)
- Left hand, thumb position, hole in between and fingertips

4) Finger naming
- R.H pimach
- L.H 1 (index), 2, 3, 4

Btw u guys got Mr Shi's notes too. eh. read through la. if what u can understand, understand. What u cannot understand, just don't confuse yourself too much. yupp. alright have fun practising (:


p.s. andante is played using rest stroke. prac etude if you want we'll touch on that later, and etude is played using thumb-free stroke.
