Hi again!
Again, apologizing for whatever went wrong that day and rest assured that it wont happen again. So please take note of the following.
1) Lessons will be scheduled such that there will be a 10mins break in between each lesson.
i.e. 4-5pm
5.10-6.10pm
Unless otherwise stated, lessons will go on as per normal (i.e. sch holidays etc.) don't think of it as part of guitar training. its not. Lessons were started in school to make it convenient for most of you as taking lessons outside will
1)not be economical
2)require more travelling time
3)continue even during important periods like blocks and promos
And lessons are not introduced to make ur life miserable. It was clearly stipulated that it is necessary for all guitar ensemble members to take lessons.
Therefore, please take your lessons seriously. It is ultimately between you and the teacher, and the club is only here to help liaise and provide logistics.
2) Girls
We'll be using foot stools for ALL training and lessons from today onwards (2.42am 5th March) Therefore, we strongly appeal to all girls on the grounds of modesty to wear shorts instead of skirts. or rather. Anything except skirts. If you feel that it is ok if you're wearing shorts underneath then go ahead. If not, bring something to change? don't ask me! you're the girl.
3) Music stands, Footstools
Ok this is really an appeal. When you go get ur guitar from guitar room or simply before every training, please go up to guitar room to get 1 footstool and 1 music stand for urself. And return them to the guitar room when training has ended. Is better if everyone can help to carry their own necessary equipments down for training rather than trouble some ppl to sai gang and do a whooping 10kg weights-cum-footstools. Taking 1 footstool and music stand by yourself should be quite manageable but if you need help please ask ok.
4) Club Guitars
2 Club Guitars were confiscated on monday as they were found at the classbench. Zhu Ge has already warned that club guitars should NOT be placed at the class benches. We're ok if its your own guitar, after all its your own property (though we stronglystronglystrongly discourage it cos you'll find all sorts of people molesting ur guitar). I believe the reason why we got so put off was because those with their own guitars placed them faithfully in the guitar room; those with the club guitars on the other hand chose not to. Its really like not appreciating that guitar and not recognising that that guitar is owned by the school.
We've already talked to the respective individuals and heard their explanations. If you happen to be late that day, and still want to put ur guitar in the room, do call either Zhu Ge, Chen Sin or me (in order of preference x). We hope that you'll treat the guitars loaned to you as your own and really take care of it. If this gets out of hand we might have to permanently confiscate the rented guitars, resulting in the misery of both parties (1 more than the other) and the necessity of you to get your own guitar. The bottomline - pleaseplease treasure that piece of wood and take care of it.
5) Training
I hate to touch on this cos its a general consensus and i really believe that you guys are a wonderful and awesome bunch of people. BUT, there are some people who choose to pon training, come in e x t r a late or do dno wht. Its okay if you've got a valid excuse, take and get the leave form signed (btw its not valid until a complete version gets passed back to ur MI). Ok EVEN with the leave form, i'm ok if you're like slightlyslightly late once in a blue moon? just tell ur mi when u reach or smthing its not like we'll wallop you. we're students too alright we also know how thrilling it is to pon lec_u_es and t_to_ria_s, but somethings its just responsibility on our part. as thrilling as it may get and be afterwards when you're discovered, some things need to be taken seriously. Including training. I was told once when someone strolled into the guitar room 45mins after training had started to get his/her guitar. and that person claimed that that's cos attendance isn't taken. Seriously man.
Anyway, cheryl can be taking attendance anytime during the training. And she can only go back to j2 training after taking attendance so rest assured it will be early. IF your attendance isn't captured cos you're late or smthing, don't blame anyone later if you don't hit the % required for cca attendance.
Alright thats all for now. I'm terribly sorry if i just made ur day sad and emo. There are somethings that need to be addressed and i hope that i don't ever have to repeat them. Thanks.
